Awarded at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, one of the world's most prestigious invention exhibitions, attracting more than 1,000 inventions from over 40 countries annually. The Gold Medal was awarded for pioneering work in millimeter wave waveguide-to-AFSIW transition technologies, specifically for the systematic design method covered in US Patent 12,166,262 that allows engineers to build wide-band millimeter wave transitions without iterative trial-and-error simulation. This is the highest recognition Asif has received for his work in RF hardware innovation.
Selected for the IEEE EPS RF Packaging Fellowship to propose new classes of 6G antennas within an RF packaging context, conducting research in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute in Berlin, Germany. The fellowship funded research at the intersection of advanced antenna design and RF packaging for next-generation wireless systems.
